Shikimic acid

Shikimic acid affects arachidonic acid metabolism, inhibits platelet aggregation, and prevents the formation of arterial, venous, and cerebral thrombosis. It also has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects and can serve as an intermediate in the production of antiviral and anticancer drugs.
